Barbara Genda is the hands-on founder of our contemporary bespoke furniture design studio in London. Our ethos is simple – to think outside the box. We have an ambitious team who like a challenge. Individuals make a difference – but a team can really stir things up!
We work hand-in-hand with clients, guiding them step-by-step through the design and build process, right through to installation and beyond. We listen to your problem. We let our imaginations run riot. We come up with ideas. We aim to give you the home you desire.
Barbara is the brains behind the company. She has a law degree, is a trained tax specialist, a busy mother and businesswoman with a passion for furniture and interiors. She has an eye for solving problems, with a classically chic finish of course. The team’s eternal spiritual leader, she holds client design meetings, oversees marketing and occasionally makes the tea too.
Gabriel is our Installation Manager. An art school graduate, who specialised in Artistic Furniture Design and Making, he has more than 15 years’ experience, with skills ranging from woodcarver to antique furniture restorer and French polisher. Responsible for Health and Safety, Gabriel’s motivation is pushing the boundaries and ensuring customer satisfaction. After dark, he jams on bass guitar with his band
Konrad is the man who takes Barbara and Julia’s outlandish ideas and works out how to make them reality. A Master in Construction of Wood Products, he has more than 15 years’ experience within the furniture manufacturing industry, including design, prototyping, product development and on the factory floor. The company’s technical brain, he embraces every challenge provided by the design team.
One of our Senior Fitters, Lucas has a natural passion for furniture construction – he built his first masterpiece at the age of 10. He studied Real Estate Management but followed his love of craftsmanship when he joined Barbara Genda Furniture as a Junior Fitter in 2012. Working alongside Gabriel, they make an invincible team. Lucas is our ‘action man’, having played semi-professional football, and loving the slopes and snowboarding.
