A beautiful home library

We don’t know about you, but after a long day at work or a tough week there’s nothing better than curling up on the sofa or a comfy chair and getting lost in books.

Today is World Book Day and there are so many reasons why you should be joining in and reading a book. Thankfully even with the digital age bringing us the Kindle, our love of books isn’t fading away.

We have to admit having a Kindle is pretty convenient. It stores several books and it’s lightweight so ideal if you’re on the go. There is something about a book though that gets us every time. Turning the pages, the smell of a new book, an old book steeped in history, books that have been passed down through the family, books that a friend has lent you.

As designers we naturally like creating things and one of our favourites within the home is a library. The beauty with books is you can use them to create a homely and relaxing area by just stacking them on a shelf. Books are conversation starters and who doesn’t love showing off their collection?
