Playroom design takes a bow

Playroom furniture steals the show

This Surrey-based client tasked Barbara Genda with creating wow factor in a bespoke playroom incorporating a working area and performance stage. The playroom, designed by Inhouse Interiors, was a Christmas surprise and delighted the children with brightly coloured, floor-to-ceiling storage, housing all their toys and games. Two alcoves were the perfect place for inset wall-mounted storage boxes alongside a desk

for each child. A beautiful butterfly shaped magnetic wall-board was designed to display all their fabulous creations. The star of the show had to be the funky, vibrant play area with a dedicated performance stage. The raised platform, dotted with LED lighting and made with a bouncing dance-floor even came complete with a backstage, dressing-up area for those many costume changes.

TOY STORAGE

Children always have a lot of toys so maximum storage was created with floor-to-ceiling storage in bold, bright colours. Two alcoves were the perfect place for inset wall-mounted storage boxes alongside a desk for each child. A beautiful butterfly shaped magnetic wallboard was designed to display all their fabulous creations. A young artist’s dream!
